8th Annual IWUG Bash – Its Getting Cloudy in Here

Folks! It’s here. All i’s dotted and t’s crossed. We are excited to announce our 8^th Annual IWUG Bash. The event we have been waiting for since the 7^th Annual Bash. This event comes packed with geeky goodness and lots of fun.

We are locked in for September 23^rd (next Thursday). It took us a while to work out the details but we have it down. This year’s event is going to be at the IMAX Theater at the Indiana State Museum. If you were lucky enough to join us at our past IMAX events, we think you will agree that the group is in for a unique night of festivities.

We are going to have presenters from Microsoft and AMD fly in to present to us on “Demystifying the Cloud”. The presenters are bringing with them years of experience and promise to deliver everything we need to know about cloud from Microsoft’s viewpoint.

As has been an IWUG tradition at our Annual Events for the past 5 years, we want to support a charity for a great cause. This year’s charity will be the Susan G Komen foundation for the cure. More importantly, we want to remember our long time IWUG member, Anna Holtz who battled with breast cancer for two years and passed away this April.

Unlike past IMAX events, we will be serving food, so you don’t have to worry about getting your fill before you get here. Also, this time around, we will be validating parking tickets, so bring them along with you to the event after you park at the underground garage.

IWUG never charges its members for any event year round so we urge you to donate generously to the Susan G Komen foundation for the cure. We're asking everyone that attends to consider making a $10 minimum donation the night of the event. A representative from Susan G Komen will be on-hand to address the group and collect the proceeds – be generous please!

Door Prizes & Giveaways:

Did we forget giveaways? Absolutely not! Everyone is going to walk away with something. We have copies of books we will be giving away to everyone. Please join our Meet Up group and RSVP for the event to make sure we count everyone for the book giveaway. Go here. Please, only one per person and you need to be present to win. Also, please only register if you are definitely planning on attending. Don't hoard up tickets. Pretty please!

We have other great raffle items including Xbox, Xbox Games, software, hardware etc. If you bring a friend along, you get a bonus raffle ticket. (Make your friend register though). Oh and if we sell out of tickets, show up anyways, we’ll hook you up.

From the East-
